The Weapon of Discouragement

Discouragement is the enemy's weapon of choice.
Never forget that.
He's always seeking ways to deter, distract, and diminish you so you won't ever become all God has called you to be. One of the ways the enemy employs this strategy is by using toxic people and negative experiences to damage your faith and confidence.
I know that there are a number of you reading this post that are going through struggles of your own. I want you to know that no matter what the problem or situation is, even if things seem to temporarily change for the worse, this doesn't change what God says about you and your destiny.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10 NAS).
Though you and I can't change or control everything in our lives, we can choose how we respond. Either we'll panic and break down, or we'll trust God and believe He's on our side. Rather than allowing difficult circumstances to get you worked up, why not take your cues about your future from the one who created you?
You see, you have to know who you are in God and remind yourself of all He has invested in you, and what He has in store for you as well. You are His chosen vessel, created to bring glory to His name.
That's why your Chief Adversary does everything he can to discourage you. He doesn't want you to have a real revelation of who you are.The Bible instructs us in1 Peter 5:8 to, "Be on the alert Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." (NAS)
But you have to recognize the attack of the enemy, so when he does try to wreak havoc in your life, you won't internalize the pain of your trouble. Whether it be caused by people or things, you can't afford to let hurt get on the inside of you and fester. Otherwise, it will manifest as bitterness and fear. Then you'll end up all bound, shackled, and discouraged.
That's just what the enemy wants.
Don't give him the satisfaction. Instead, keep your feet firmly planted on Christ the solid rock. Be steadfast and strong in the Lord.
Trust in His promises.
Don't let anyone or anything destroy your faith in God's purpose, provision, and power. He is guiding you and ordering your steps. No matter what opposition comes your way, remember who is on your side.

"If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31b)
